# Why can't a subcontractor see a bid I invited them to?

A subcontractor can only be invited to bid, and see that bid in their portal, if their pre-qualification status is **"Approved"**.

If you are trying to add a bidder and they are not on the list, or they received an invitation but cannot see the bid, you must check their status:

1. Navigate to the **Pre-Quals** module.
2. Find the subcontractor in the list and check their **Status**.
3. If the status is "Submitted," "Pending," or "Cancelled," you must first open their submission and click the **Approve** button.

Once they are approved, you can return to your bid, go to the **Bidders** tab, and add them from the "Select Prequalified Company" list.
