How to Send SMS Messages from the Contacts Board?

This guide explains how to quickly initiate a conversation with a contact directly from your main Contacts Board using the integrated messaging sidebar.

Step 1: Locate the Contact

Navigate to your GX Contacts board and find the person you wish to message. Ensure that the contact has a valid phone number listed in the Phone Numbers column.

Step 2: Open the Messaging Sidebar

Click directly on the phone number of the contact.

• Action: Hover over the number and click.

• Result: A Messages panel will slide out from the right side of the screen.

Step 3: Compose Your Message

At the bottom of the Messages panel, you will see a text box labeled "Type a Message..."

• Type your message into this field.

• Tip: Use Enter to send your message immediately, or Shift + Enter if you need to start a new line.
